Skin type: Normal to dry
Today I am reviewing yet another sheet mask from Nykaa Skin Secrets. This is the Matcha Tea And Chamomile variant that is meant to hydrate and nourish the skin. So let’s get started with the detailed review and see if it met my expectations. Keep on reading…
What The Brand Claims: Known as a ‘magical elixir’ in the Japanese culture, Matcha Tea leaf extracts boast powerful anti-oxidants that increase the water binding capacity of your skin and provide deep nourishment. The Chamomile flower extracts soothe and improve the elasticity of your skin, while providing deep hydration. This mask works wonders by energizing and reviving dull, tired skin.
Packaging: The sheet mask comes in a beautiful plastic cover that is definitely attractive. It will fit right in your bag and is easy to carry around. As you tear open the outer cover, you will find the sheet mask inside. All the important details such as date of manufacturing, use-before date, directions to use, ingredient list and price are clearly mentioned at the back of the cover.
My Experience With The Product: Nykaa Matcha Tea And Chamomile Sheet Mask is white in color, very soft to touch and completely drenched in serum. However, I found the sheet to be really thin! In fact, one needs to be careful while unfolding; else it can easily tear off. I simply take the mask out and put it on my face. But you do need to slightly adjust it according to the shape of your face.
I found the size and fit quite similar to the Face Shop Sheet Mask. There is also some serum left behind inside the packet, that can be applied on the hands and arms. As soon as you apply the mask, it relaxes the skin and provides a soothing feeling. I let it stay on till it dries out; which usually takes around 20-25 minutes. There is no need to wash your face afterwards, since the whole point is to let the goodness of the serum seep into your skin.
As soon as I remove the mask, I massage the remaining serum into my skin. The great thing about this mask is that the serum beautifully gets absorbed and does not leave behind any residue. In fact, it feels quite lightweight and comfortable, which is great! It removes dullness and leaves the skin soft, supple and hydrated.
I personally found these better than the Face Shop ones in terms of effectiveness and results. Speaking of the fragrance, this mask has a soft, refreshing scent that quickly disappears. The product can be easily found on Nykaa’s website as well as in Nykaa stores.
