Nivea Oil In Lotion, Rose And Argan Oil Review

Skin type: Normal to dry

Hello there!

Some time back, I had reviewed the Cherry Blossom variant from Nivea’s Oil In Lotion range and today I have with me another one; that goes by the name Rose and Argan Oil. So let’s jump straight into the review and see how was my experience with this one. Keep reading…

What The Brand Claims: Would you like the indulging care of natural oils in a fast absorbing lotion? Try Nivea Oil In Lotion Rose and Argan Oil.

  • Precious Argan Oil carefully blended in a fast absorbing lotion
  • The goodness of natural oils gives you 24h+moisture with a delicate Rose fragrance

Packaging: The lotion comes in a beautiful lavender color bottle with a pump dispenser, that is convenient to use. You need to twist it open in order to dispense the product and then again twist back to lock it. All the important details such as price, manufacturing date, expiry date and ingredient list are clearly mentioned. Overall, I just loved the packaging! It is absolutely stunning, sturdy as well as travel friendly.

Ingredient List:

My Experience With The Product: Nivea Oil In Lotion, Rose and Argan Oil is white in color and has an incredibly smooth, slightly gel-like, runny texture. Some time back, the brand had launched its Aloe Hydration Lotion, and I found both their formulae very similar. The product just glides on the skin and gets absorbed in a jiffy. It completely blends in and does not leave behind any residue or greasiness at all, which is impressive! The lotion is really lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin. Just one pump is sufficient to cover the entire face and arms, that makes the product go a long way.

It effectively moisturizes the skin and makes it smooth and supple. Here I would also like to mention that this lotion contains silicones, which makes the skin feel slippery soft! It provides lasting moisturization; but certainly not up to 24 hours, as claimed by the brand. I feel this lotion would work best for those with normal to dry skin. But it won’t be sufficient if you are looking for something for very dry skin or to heal dry patches. It has a beautiful, delicate Rose scent that lingers on for some time, but nothing that would bother sensitive noses.

Now my main concern is that considering that the brand has come up with this unique ‘Oil In Lotion’ concept, but honestly, I did not find anything new or extraordinary in terms of either formula or hydration. And especially considering winter season, I was definitely expecting something more moisturizing! The product comes in 2 sizes and can be easily found online as well as in stores.

Yays!

  • Beautiful, sturdy as well as travel friendly packaging
  • Lock-in pump mechanism
  • Super smooth texture
  • Beautifully spreads on the skin, very easy to work with
  • Gets absorbed instantly, does not leave behind any residue or greasiness at all

  • Absolutely lightweight and non-greasy formula
  • Provides lasting moisturization
  • Soothing and delicate Rose scent that lingers on for some time

  • Affordable

Nays!

  • Contains alcohol and silicones
  • Not moisturizing enough for very dry skin
  • Does not come in a smaller variant as of now
  • The 24-hour moisturization claim is not true

Price: Rs 240 for 200 ml

Rs 390 for 400 ml

Rating: A-

Final Thoughts: Nivea Oil In Lotion, Rose and Argan Oil has a smooth texture that instantly blends into the skin. It makes the skin silky soft, moisturized and plump and is completely non-greasy and lightweight. The lotion has a delicate Rose scent that is really soothing and lingers on for some time.

Now my main concern is that considering that the brand has come up with this unique ‘Oil In Lotion’ concept, I was super excited to try this product out! But honestly, I did not find anything new or extraordinary in terms of either formula or hydration. I was definitely expecting something more creamy and more moisturizing! In addition, the presence of alcohol and silicones is another turn-off. But you can definitely try out at least one variant from this range!

Till next time,

XOXO
