A while back, I had reviewed the shade ‘Pinken Gold‘ from Colorbar’s 24 Carat Nail Lacquer Range and today I have with me another shade from the same range. This one goes by the name ‘Coppertone Gold’ and I have been wearing it a lot lately. I would also like to mention here that since Colorbar revamped their nail paint collection, this one now forms a part of the Arteffects Range. Now without much ado, let’s jump right into the review. Keep reading…
What The Brand Claims: A luxurious range of Golds with a Dual Chrome effect that envelopes your nails in 24 carat gold finish instantly. Replete with intense dual-shine golden pigments, this unique range allows you to experience two complementary color tones in one go. With a range of 6 shades of Gold, you are spoilt for choice and can easily find any shade of Gold that you desire.
The application is smooth, streak-free and single stroke. It leaves behind a unique almost foil-like liquid gold finish on your nails. What’s more is that the formula has an excellent drying time along with being 3-free, long-lasting, non-yellowing & chip-resistant.
Packaging: Like most Colorbar polishes, this one too comes in a glass bottle that is sturdy as well as easy to carry around. It has a golden-colored cap that looks beautiful and adds bling to the overall packaging. The size of the brush is just right and is very easy to use as well. It helps in even application of the nail color and makes it fuss-free. The shade name along with the shade number is mentioned at the top of the bottle, while the date of manufacturing is mentioned at its base.
Shade: Coppertone Gold is a beautiful golden-copper color with loads of finely milled microshimmers. It has a shiny metallic finish that looks absolutely stunning on the nails.
My Experience With The Product: Colorbar 24 CT Nail Lacquer in the shade Coppertone Gold has just the right consistency and applies evenly on the nails. The shimmers are very smoothly milled in and there is absolutely no harshness or gritty feeling at all! It dries down quickly and settles into a lovely shimmer finish. This shade is well pigmented and delivers a good color payoff.
Now coming to the staying power, it has a good wear-time and stays on for 5-6 days. But like most polishes, it does start to chip off from the tips in 2-3 days if you are into everyday kitchen chores. I have never experienced any yellowing of nails while using this product and it is DBP and Toluene free as well. Removing the color is also quick and easy and it comes off in one go with a good nail polish remover.
