Skin type: Normal to dry
Nivea is a trusted brand when it comes to skincare and every season, they come up with something new. One of the recent launches by the brand has been the ‘Oil In Lotion’ that ‘combines the goodness of natural oil in a fast absorbing lotion’. It comes in 3 different variants and the one that I purchased is the Cherry Blossom and Jojoba Oil one. I have been using this daily for nearly 2 weeks now and wanted to share my thoughts with you all. So let’s get started and see how this one fared out for me! Keep reading…
What The Brand Claims: Would you like the indulging care of natural oils in a fast absorbing lotion? Try Nivea Oil In Lotion Cherry Blossom and Jojoba Oil.
- Precious Jojoba Oil carefully blended in a fast absorbing lotion
- The goodness of natural oil gives you 24h+ moisture
- Get smooth and radiant skin with a floral Cherry Blossom fragrance
Packaging: The lotion comes in a beautiful lavender color bottle with a pump dispenser, that is convenient to use. You need to twist it open in order to dispense the product and then again twist back to lock it. All the important details such as price, manufacturing date, expiry date and ingredient list are clearly mentioned. All in all, I loved the packaging! It is gorgeous to look at, sturdy as well as travel friendly.
My Experience With The Product: Nivea Oil In Lotion, Cherry Blossom and Jojoba Oil is white in color and has an incredibly smooth, slightly gel-like, runny texture. Some time back, the brand had launched its Aloe Hydration Lotion, and I found both their formulae very similar. The product beautifully spreads on the skin and gets absorbed in a jiffy. It completely blends into the skin and does not leave behind any residue or greasiness at all, which is fantastic! The lotion is really lightweight and feels completely comfortable on the skin. Just one pump is sufficient to cover the entire face and arms, that makes the product go a long way.
Now speaking of its effectiveness, it beautifully hydrates the skin and leaves it silky smooth, moisturized and plump. Here I would also like to mention that this lotion contains silicones, which makes the skin feel slippery soft! It provides lasting moisturization; but certainly not up to 24 hours, as the brand claims. I feel this lotion would work best for those with combination to dry skin. But it won’t be sufficient for healing dry patches and very dry skin. The lotion has a soft Cherry Blossom scent that lingers on for quite some time.
Now my main concern is that considering that the brand has come up with the unique ‘Oil In Lotion’ concept, but honestly, I did not find anything new or extraordinary in terms of either formula or hydration. And especially now that it is winter season, I was definitely expecting something more moisturizing! The product comes in 2 sizes and can be easily found online as well as in stores.
