Maybelline Color Show Party Girl Nail Polish, Party Lights: Review, Swatches

Hi there!

Some time back, I had reviewed Maybelline’s Party Girl nail polish in the shade ‘Tequila Sunrise’ and today I have with me another shade from the same range. This one goes by the name ‘Party Lights’ and I have been applying this a lot lately. So let’s get started and jump straight into the review. Keep reading…

What The Brand Claims: The stunning glitter nail paints are the best accessory you can flaunt this season. These runway inspired range of colors help you stand out and make a style statement. The bold, glittery and glossy texture nail paints look opaque in a single coat and makes an instant hit.

Packaging: The nail paint comes in a cute little bottle with the words ‘Party Girl’ mentioned in holo. It states all the important information like date of manufacturing, MRP and shelf-life clearly. The shade name as well as the shade number are mentioned at the top of the bottle. The brush is also easy to use and smoothly covers the nail area. All in all, the packaging is beautiful, sturdy as well as travel friendly.

Shade: ‘Party Lights’ is a gorgeous purple shade with a silver shimmer base. It contains chunks of purple hexagonal glitters as well, and looks absolutely lovely on the nails. The color is very wearable and does not look stark or OTT at all.

My Experience With The Product: Maybelline Party Girl Nail Polish in the shade ‘Party Lights’ has a smooth formula that applies effortlessly on the nails. The glitter particles are also smoothly milled and do not feel harsh or chunky. Neither do these get stuck onto fabrics, which is another plus! The polish dries down quickly and sets into a beautiful shimmery finish, that looks magnificent on the nails.

Coming to the pigmentation, this one has an average color payoff. You will need to apply 2-3 coats for the color to properly show up. This polish has a good wear time and stays on for 5-6 days. But of course, if you are into kitchen chores, then it does start chipping off from the tips in 2-3 days, as is the case with most nail polishes.  But other than that, the color as well as the shine; both remain intact.

Since this nail paint contains glitter particles, removal is definitely a task and it can get slightly messy too! Even though the color comes off easily, but the glitter particles take some time and effort to be removed completely. You do need to go over at least twice with a good polish remover to properly get rid of the glitter. The product can be easily found online as well as at Maybelline counters.

Do I Recommend This? Definitely Yes! This is yet another great nail polish from Maybelline’s Party Girl range. The formula is smooth and applies easily on the nails. The brush is also convenient-to-use and helps in even application. The polish dries down quickly and sets into a beautiful shimmer finish. The glitter particles are not at all harsh or chunky and the staying power is also good. However, the shade being slightly sheer, is average in pigmentation. One needs to apply 2-3 coats for the polish to go opaque. Otherwise, this is a great buy! 🙂

Till next time,
